Ready to make mac and cheese? Let's dive in! Get your ingredients prepped and let's get cooking!
- Preheat oven to 180C
- Place macaroni into a large saucepan filled with water and add a tsp of salt. Bring to the boil and cook until softened.
- Make the cheese sauce by melting butter in saucepan, adding the flour and stir until it forms a dough, gradually add milk while mixing at the same time (do not stop mixing). Once the sauce has thickened add 1 cup of cheese and stir in until melted. Put sauce to one side.
- Drain the macaroni and place into a large pasta tray. Pour the cheese sauce on top and thoroughly mix together until well combined.
- Spread remaining grated cheese on the top and place the tray into the oven. Cook for 20/30 mins or until the cheese is golden on top.
- Serve and enjoy.
